21/08/2008 09:38:16 The New Generation of Adidas Adistar Shoes
Adidas have taken a seasoned favourite and turned it into an international superstar. The new Adistar range from Adidas has been given the biggest overhaul seen in the hockey world to date, boasting 3 new shoes to the range making the old trusted Adistar obsolete and the new up to date, energised models things of design genius!
The Adistar Light is the top dog of the new range. An updated look and new concept design features ensure this shoe really stands out from the crowd. The black outer with the traditional 3 stripe logo make this shoe look as sharp as ever.
Zip Covered Laces
The new zip cover for the laces is something that has not been seen on a hockey shoe and looks like it belongs on the moon! The zippered elastic lace cover provides additional instep support and protection and keeps those pesky laces from undoing themselves and tripping you over.
External Toe Cap
The external TPU toe cap offers additional forefoot protection. Protection has taken a back seat in many years but it is nice to see that it may be on its way back into the minds of shoe manufacturers.
Torsion System
Torsionability is the foot's ability to adapt to surfaces without forcing the rear foot to perform excessive motions. The Torsion System supports the mid foot while allowing for natural torsionability. The new extended Torsion System further improves the forefoot motion control in both linear and lateral movements.
The materials that Adidas use are exclusive to Adidas, adiPRENE and adiPRENE+ are cushioning materials which respond to the different needs of the heel and forefoot. AdiPRENE absorbs impact in the heel, providing superior cushioning and protection. In the forefoot, AdiPRENE+ enhances performance by providing propulsion and resiliency at toe-off, and better dynamic movement. Movement is key to today’s hockey player and without it you
The new and improved Traxion sole unit on the shoe is an innovative outsole and lug design that replaces conventional studs. Increased surface area between shoe and ground provides superior ground penetration. The surface area is optimized for better traction, comfort, grip, and performance. Soft outsole materials provide surface adaptability and flexibility.
Climalite is another technology exclusive to Adidas. Clima is the ultimate in fibre and fabric technology, exclusive to Adidas. Clima fabrics optimize the athlete's microclimate - the area between garment and skin - by regulating temperature and humidity. The athlete's performance and comfort are increased, while energy loss and fatigue are reduced. Climalite is used in the shoes proved moisture management to the feet which allows the player to perform to their optimum.
People who expect the best from there footwear will be seen wearing these as Adidas have stepped up to the mark to make one seriously good looking and an exceptionally advanced technological hockey shoe.
