TK 1.4 GTi
 TK have come out all guns blazing this year but in a classic cut and finish to all their sticks. The TK 1.4 GTi may not take name from the auto industry but there would be a good reason if they did. The GTi has a 25mm standard bow with Anti Vibration Shock (AVS) dampening handle system and Flowflex 3D branding finish. The Flowflex finish in the back of the stick reduces drag and resistance which in turn will create greater stick speeds and more powerful shots. The GTi certainly packs that little bit more punch than a lot of its closest rivals, look out the GTi is loose!
Mercian M-Tek Fire
 The Mercian M-Tek Fire CB2 Composite Hockey Stick is the ultimate stick from Mercian, the top of the M-TEK range. It includes all the performance characteristics of the LAVA with an important and innovative improvement. Some players want a stiff stick to feel stiff. However, some players want to protect themselves from the vibrations that can occur in a super-stiff stick. The innovative material in the FIRE dampens the vibrations, making a stiff stick that gives maximum energy transfer and yet has the associated touch and feel of a mid-specification composite. This results in a greater cushioning on receiving the ball.
Patented by HEAD in tennis, Mercian have a patent pending on the use of PISO-ELECTRIC fibers within a hockey stick. These fibres are an active molecule material. The vibrations from hitting and receiving the ball move up the shaft until they hit the PISO-ELECTRIC fibers. This causes the molecules to vibrate, changing the energy of the vibrations, in this case into heat. If a player were to hit a ball constantly for 24 hours, the area containing the fibers would heat up, but the quantity of energy converted is so low it does not create any immediate noticeable effect. If a stick was made with a full shaft of PISO-ELECTRIC fiber and connected to an electric circuit, a small bulb could be lit with the energy created from each hit.
