Security on the Barrington Sports website
Your payment and order details are sent to us across a secure connection that uses a 128 bit certificate supplied by Thawte. This means that the information is encrypted and cannot be read by anyone other than ourselves. You can see that the pages are secure because the address in the address bar changes from being http:// to https://. You will also see a padlock symbol or key in the bottom bar of your browser.

Personal firewalls
Personal firewalls. We at Barrington Sports have noticed an increase in the use of personal firewall software (e.g. Zone Alarm, PTF, TERMinate and many others). Under certain circumstances these Firewalls may deny access to our (and other web sites) secure servers. To enable access to secure servers, check that the firewall is configured to allow the web browser to connect over port 443 (SSL). We have also seen instances whereby stopping and restarting the firewall may resolve connectivity problems.
