Skins has signed up Paul Collingwood, the only English captain to ever win a global tournament (2010 World Twenty20).

Collingwood, who actually scored the winning runs in that memorable final against Australia, will be the ‘face’ of all Skins cricketing activity, including the launch of new products in 2011.

He follows on in the Skins role from another modern English cricketing star and ex-captain, Michael Vaughan.

Regarded as one of the finest batsmen and greatest all-rounders in world cricket, ‘Colly’ is also England’s most capped One Day International (ODI) cricketer and its leading ODI run scorer.

David Ling, General Manager of Skins UK said:

“To have another fine English all-rounder on-board really is a mark of how much Skins has come on in the cricket market. Whether it’s their unrivalled performance and recovery qualities - or 50+ UV protection factor and wicking ability - our products are a great addition to the modern cricketer’s armoury.”

Collingwood is also a part of the 2010-11 Ashes squad which is shortly about to commence its tour Down Under (first match, 5th-7th November v. Western Australia; first Test, 25th-29th November in Brisbane). He added:

“It’s great to be able to make use of such technical and advanced kit. With this important Tour coming up, I’m looking forward to turning it against the great sporting country it originates from!”.
