Jason Robinson: Nick Royle is fast with rugby ball

Nick Royle has won praise from a World Cup winner for his speed and agility with the rugby ball.

Ex-England star Jason Robinson has picked out the wing star and described him as one of the fastest team-mates he has ever had.

Royle is currently competing for England Sevens, who are preparing to take part in the Emirates Airline London Sevens at Twickenham this weekend.

He has previously starred alongside Robinson, who was also noted for his pace during an illustrious playing career, for Fylde.

Commenting on his new role with the club, veteran Robinson said: "I've had my time scoring tries so I just supply the guys around me from centre."

He added that he is looking forward to watching Royle run out at a packed stadium in south-west London.

Robinson played alongside current England team manager Martin Johnson in the side that won the World Cup in Australia in 2003.
