England team manager Martin Johnson has insisted decisions over who will wear rugby clothing at this year's World Cup have not yet been settled.

The coach this week named a 45-man squad for a preliminary training camp and has suggested every player involved has a chance of being on the plane to New Zealand.

He added a number of newcomers to the group of stars who won this year's Six Nations championship, perhaps suggesting he would like to add the element of surprise to his ranks in the southern hemisphere.

"It's been competitive, we could've brought in another ten guys. I told the players last night 'there are ten or 12 players who could be here just as easily as you are so make the most of the opportunity'," Johnson explained.

The World Cup kicks off in New Zealand on September 9th, with England due to face Argentina, Scotland, Romania and Georgia in the group stage.
