The 2012 POD is made from oversized clefts and is softer pressed to give raw, intense performance. Deeply bowed with a long, deep, mid driving area and dramatically thick edges, the Pod is concave sanded just enough to reduce weight whilst keeping the essential depth and weight of wood through its core. The result is the greatest and most rewarding playing surface, with exquisite pick up and superb maneuverability. Every angle is precisely shaped and smoothed through our unique sanding so the bat undulates in form, more sculpture than carpentry. Chosen from the very best of our clefts, the Pod is performance in its highest state.

This year, all Players and Grade Ones are natural finish, all Performance and Select grades are workshop prepared.

Workshop preparation
The preparation by Salix which takes the bat to the point of knocking in by the owner. Linseed waxed during finishing then Bat Vaxed at the toe before application of our strong UK made anti-scuff. This gives the bat a sound foundation for the first season with oiling required before the second seasons usage.
