REVIEWS

  • The main feature of this stick is its power. I have only achieved shooting with such ferociousness from Gryphon sticks, such as Taboos and this Magnum. Having scared many keepers with the power achieved from this stick I can say that it is unparalleled. However, the power comes at a great cost. The first issue with this stick is the control. After using it regularly for a couple of months you get used to the effort you have to have in providing soft hands, though the player should not have to be constantly thinking this. The other issue is that all Gryphon sticks seem to wear down ridiculously quickly...and at 150odd this is not acceptable. I have spoken to several players around the club & they have all had problems with Gryphons wearing down within half a season. Therefore, although this stick provides the most power of all sticks I have tried, the wearing and control issues mean I will NEVER buy a Gryphon again - switching back to Voodoo.chris, didcot
