My last bat was knocked in using the kookaburra mallet, which I think is made from Pine or at least a fairly soft, light weight wood, and it took aaages to get a decent finish. The mallet was just too light to really make much of an impact on the bat. This GN one is just an all round better design, the handle is shorter which makes prolonged use easier, the added weight really makes it feel like its doing some work on the face and edges of the bat and its made from a much harder, more durable wood. It was a tiny bit more expensive but I guarantee it will save you loads of time when knocking in your next bat.simon, adderburyWas this review helpful to you?yes no
