However, while offering good coverage at the ankle, be warned they are much shorter than a lot of the other shinpads on offer by about 1.5 inches. Personally, I don't mind as I was looking for lightweight - but I have noticed a few more bruises that I wouldn't have picked up wearing my old shin pads. Shin Measurement
The shin length data stated in the guid below are based on measurements taken along the front of the shin bone between a point level with the top of the ankle bone and the end of the smooth part of the shin just below the knee bone.
